Northwest Arkansas SCORE offers free and confidential small business counseling and mentoring, seminars, workshops and other services to the Northwest Arkansas small business community. We are a resource partner of the Small Business Administration and the Walton College Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
From volunteer mentors to workshop leaders, NWA SCORE offers a myriad of volunteer opportunities that will be of benefit to both the volunteer and the small business community.
A variety of ways to volunteer for NWA SCORE
The SCORE volunteers are essential to the function of our organization and every volunteer is important. Whether you are serving as a SCORE mentor or serving as a workshop leader, there is a variety of volunteer options at Northwest Arkansas SCORE. And while our greatest need is for volunteer mentors, there is also always a need for workshop development assistance, office work, and community outreach.
Becoming a NWA SCORE mentor
While NWA SCORE has many volunteer opportunities, the biggest and most immediate need is for volunteer mentors. SCORE offers two types of small business mentoring, online and in-person. Small businesses have a variety of needs that SCORE volunteer mentors are asked to address, which means we need mentors from a variety of expertise areas including small business accounting and marketing.
Volunteer mentors are committed to helping new small businesspersons achieve their goals and dreams. By volunteering at SCORE, you can give back to your community; you can also connect with fellow business owners, and even pass on your knowledge other entrepreneurs in your community.
Whether you are passionate about mentoring others or you simply enjoy making connections, becoming a SCORE mentor is an outstanding opportunity to get involved in your community. To learn more about volunteering opportunities or how to become a SCORE mentor, visit the NWA SCORE website.
