Healing Gardens of Northwest Arkansas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on providing a retreat located in Northwest Arkansas for mental, emotional and spiritual healing. The gardens will be located behind the Highlands Oncology Center in Rogers, adjacent to the running trail.
Healing Gardens of Northwest Arkansas’ purpose is to soothe, calm, rejuvenate, and restore one’s mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health and their mission is to “enrich the lives of those in our communities by providing a haven that promotes restoration, healing, spiritual well-being and a sense of peace.” The gardens will also serve as a one-of-a-kind resource destination for those in fields of study related to integrated healing, garden design and community development.
They are working with the design team Howell & Vancuren Landscape Architects, who was also the designer of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The garden will include a gathering area, secret garden, stone stacking garden, labyrinth, waterfall, reflecting pool and Sanctuary. Maurice Jennings + Walter Jennings Architects, are designing the Sanctuary (they also designed the Hunt Chapel). Boulder Construction Company, which specializes in parks and trails, is the construction company involved.
